I feel fulfilled when I get to pull someone’s mood up when they were in a rough day. That makes me feel like I was an instrument of God to help them see the beauty of life. However, when it is my turn to feel down, I look at the stars, the sky or just pause for awhile, think hard and ask God for a message which can help me.
Today, this is what I found…
I’ve met and still remember some people in the past who literally have tons of excuses for not being able to “DO SOMETHING” even when they know that people or a team is counting on them. I am not perfect either so I know I would have used excuses too when I feel bad. But hey! my new motto should be… NO MORE DRAMA, LET’s DO IT!
A look at celebrations in the past
There is always something good that happens to us no matter how serious life gets. And for me, one way to make me feel good is to remember how I’ve spent my life and how I want to spend it for years to come.It’s already the middle of March and tomorrow, March 21 is the start of the Arian’s birthdates. So how did I celebrate my special day in the past years?
O yes… my Chocolate birthday cake. I so loved the design I didn’t want to cut the cake.
And of course, the fun happened at home with the people I care about.
These are not everybody who came that night but it was hella fun because Joan got sooooo drunk!
The next year was pretty much exciting too. I can’t remember if this was already my birthday cake. But as I went through my pile of picture folders, I realized I had a real cake that my friends Roms, Mich and I shared!
And of course, another celebration with my closest friends!
I think those were some of the most eventful birthday celebrations I had because I couldn’t find a single picture for my 2009 birthday. I was O- Prego and it wasn’t a good time to take pictures when it looked like I had eaten a whole watermelon.
So 2010… I didn’t have a birthday cake. But, he looks sweet enough to pass for a chocolate cake!
And Of course, came the stressful work years which were lightened up by the workmates I love.
Things changed for the better. And life, though it gets more complicated as I add a year to my life also gets more meaningful. Looking back at every year that passed either gives us accomplishments or lessons that make us better or worse. It’s up to you to choose which path to take.
This year, I will add another meaningful event in my life.
FAIRYTALES… in the making
Growing up when I was a kid was watching Disney movies about princesses and princes. For sure everyone would attest that they once dreamed of having a life like in the fairytales. Listening to this mix brings back the dreams I had then. It gives me that feeling that there is something good to expect in life. But then, I also remembered being told in school, and even in literature that life is nothing like the fairytales. People told me that I should wake up to reality that life is hard and that’s really how it is.
For years, they made me believe them. They made me forget how happy it was to dream and expect something grand. I know whoever instilled that in my mind was just being concerned so I wouldn’t be disappointed in life. Or maybe, they once dreamed of living a life with royalties but ended being disappointed themselves… who knows.
I am thankful for the stories and the music of Walt Disney. I believe that they were made not just for children but they were made to teach the adults that to enjoy life, we must look at it in the eyes of a child. If you were told before to forget about your dreams, it’s never too late to go back and get it.
Leap Day
Today is a Leap day- February 29! I told myself that this is an extra day from God so I should use it very wisely. What happened was the complete opposite when it comes to productivity. My meetings got cancelled so I got really grumpy.This love month doesn't have a 30th day so Boi and I decided to drink red wine and watch movies. And that isn't going to fall under the "make it count" category.
With an hour left before March, I looked back and realized that 2 months have already passed. Have I been working hard towards my goals or have I been slacking around... I have been working on my goals. It's just that owning all your time can be tricky most specially on which areyou going to use most of your time for.
I really need to make a list of the things that I would commit myself to. This is not a new year's resolution but a Leap Year goal.
- wake up at 8am everyday
- get fit by doing Jumping ropes for 15 minutes a day
- read my book of the month for 30 minutes
- start my VLOG
- upload daily videos to my VLOG
Week of Love and Work
Finally, Valentines week is over! I just had to take this day to make sure I do not get swamped with events that I failed to blog about because I am so busy. In a few minutes I have to get ready to go to EDSA because I will be meeting a friend there! So help me make this entry … blazing… fast! haha!
Valentines week was mixed with business and pleasure.
And we’re bringing back some wacky faces just to lighten the day!
I was used to celebrating Valentines day with dates, flowers, gifts etc… But this year, I wasn’t really expecting anything grand. I guess when you already have the people you love and you get to spend this day with them, you never really need material things to make the day special. Yet, I was happy that I got FLOWERS and CHOCOLATES this day which Megan enjoyed too- Double Purpose!!!
Apart from that day, here are some Photo Blogs of the events that happened this week.
As an educator, it has become my passion to share what I’ve learned to other people. When I was teaching high school, the goal I have to was to inspire even just a few people and somehow, change their lives for the better. In the industry I am in today, my goal has gotten bigger. Other than my personal goals, I have a mission to change the mindset of people so they would realize that real SUCCESS is just around the corner. We just have to push ourselves to go out of our comfort zone and never give up in reaching what we really want.

In life, we should not stop learning because if we do, that is the start of doom. We only have one life to live and it would be sad if we do not enjoy all the knowledge that God has given mankind. So after a very long day, we still attended our XU training.

A Tribute: W.H.
I grew up singing her songs though some of the notes were so high! Like everyone else, I am a Whitney Houston fan. Her songs were always full of emotions, always from the soul and her songs definitely made a mark in our history. It’s a bit sad when I think of what happened to her career because of a failed marriage which lead to drug addiction. But I will forever thank her for the music she shared to us all.
Remembering Whitney with this video I made last year. I’ve memorized this song when I was in grade school. And when the radio played this song, I just recorded myself and started lip synching.
She has an angel’s voice and she could pause the world from breathing when she starts singing. I would want to see her regain her throne but I guess there is a better plan for her. Rest In Peace.
